Summer In Zurich With The Audi Q2

    5. August 2016

So Audi just launched their new “baby” SUV!  Summer In Zurich With The Audi Q2 and it was a whole lot of fun! We flew out to have a play with the new car and it was quite a time…

    First Impressions…

The first thing to note about the Audi Q2 is that its full of character. It’s a car with a nice bit of interior space and a great looking, sporty body shape. Concave flanks and wide wheel arches give the compact SUV a charming look. It has this sporty, playful, bright attitude about it. The design language from the Q2 is simply energetic from all angles and each panel has been newly sculpted to phrase charisma, sportiness and style.

So how does it feel inside?

If you take a look at the interior, its also all new and the colourful upholstery and tasteful materials make it a stylish Q car, not forgetting it features room for five people, a 405 litre trunk, and enough space to relax in from A to B. The Audi MMI is one of the best and it’s ease of use, combined with new features such as Virtual Cockpit (Optional), Apple Car Play and a tonne of built in driver assistance you have a technical powerhouse at your disposal. We also definitely recommend ticking the box to add the Bang & Olufsen audio system which whacks out 705 watts of audio gold.

We had a chance to drive on some interesting routes around beautiful Switzerland and the roads, scenery and surroundings didn’t disappoint. The Q2 drives like a big go kart. The example we had on our hands was the 2.0 Diesel in Vegas Yellow. Just some facts and figures, this car features 148hp and although the acceleration wont blow your mind, it’s torquey enough and ample for pulling away or overtaking. There is a newly developed seven-speed automatic S-Tronic gearbox and also a rugged chassis to maximise driving dynamics. There are also a range of other engines, such as the 114bhp 1.6-litre diesel engine or the more nippy 148bhp 1.4-litre petrol version. We hope to see an SQ2 at some point soon, too! Faster is always nice.

With a smooth, enjoyable ride and styling to suit the most stylish of us humans, the Audi Q2 shows that Audi has a fun side and they have created a car which can be used everyday with plenty of technology, refinement and comfort. 12 amazing colours, awesome multimedia capabilities and most of all a good design all around. Check out more on the Q2 over at Audi.
