With the new 718 Boxster, Porsche is restructuring its mid-endine roadsters. Featuring a newly developed four-cylinder flat engine with turbocharging, the two-seat convertibles are now even more powerful yet more fuel efficient, with fuel economy improvements of up to 13%.
The new models feature a completely new chassis tuning and stronger brakes for passionate and sporty driving pleasure. While the 718 Boxster develops 220 kW (300 hp) of power from two litres of engine displacement, the 718 Boxster S attains 257 kW (350 hp) from 2.5 litres of displacement, both models sprint from 0-100 in 4.7 and 4.2 seconds.
The price for a 718 Boxster starts at 53,646€ in Germany and at 66,141€ for the 718 Boxster S. Market launch will begin on April 30 in Europe.
