Mandarin Oriental opens first Hotel in Milan

    4. August 2015

The Mandarin Oriental just opened its very first property in Milan, which occupies four 18th century buildings. Its central location make all major attractions accessible on foot: the famous opera house La Scala, the most popular shopping streets Via Montenapoleone & Via della Spiga and the Santa Maria delle Grazie, which hosts Da Vinci’s famous work “The Last Supper”.

Style, elegance and a touch of high-end technology are recurring themes at the Mandarin Oriental. With interiors by Antonio Citterio, a total of 73 rooms and 31 suites combine classic italian decors with asian elements. Furthermore, the rooms and suites feature tailor-made furnitures, wooden floors with underfloor heating and marble bathrooms. The Mandarin Oriental, rather its architecture and general visual appearance keep the city’s heritage alive.

Chef Antonio Guida, who previously worked at the two Michelin starred restaurant Il Pellicano, oversees the cuisine and now spoils the demanding guest’s palates at the Mandarin Oriental. The hotel’s own restaurant Seta serves menus combining French, Asian and Tuscan influences. Wheras the Mandarin Bar rather serves ‘bistro like’ food and is the ideal backdrop for enjoying a few drinks & cocktails or just a small aperitif on one of the lounge sofas under the stars, while listening to some relaxing tunes.

If that’s not relaxing enough for you, you can always relax and unwind at the 900m² big spa and savor one of the many treatments and therapies offered. With 6 private treatment rooms, 2 couple suites and a dedicated Thai massage room, the holstic approach to rejuvenation has top priority at the Mandarin Oriental. Further spa treatments include

    • Hair salon from celebrity stylist Massimo Serin
    • heated indoor pool
    • Pedi/Mani Cure Studio
    • state of the art fitness centre

Rates per night for the “Experience Milan” Opening offer start at 700€, with up to 200€ credit per stay
