Where do the super-rich sleep during their stay in London? According to a recent report, at the “The Ritz London”.
Reffering to a report of New World Wealth, which stores the Hotel habits of 20,000 multi-millionaires in a database, “The Ritz London” is the favourite hotel of 2,600 multi-millionaires. It is followed by the “Mandarin Oriental” with 2,200 votes and the “Claridge’s London” with 1,900 votes.
“The Ritz London” is particularly popular among wealthy travelers from the Middle East and Asia.
The famous Swiss hotelier César Ritz opened the hotel on May 24, 1906. It was the first hotel in the UK, which had a a private bathroom in every suite. The Scottish billionaire twins Frederick and David Barclay bought the hotel for 80 million pounds in October 1995 and renovated it for another 50 million pounds in a period of ten years.
The house has 137 rooms and is one of the “Leading Hotels of the World”.
