Sports Car Mood, Everyday x The Audi RS7

    18. November 2015

If you are like us, and you like to drive. You should carefully consider what you are spending your money on for the road. Are you the kind of person who would love to drive a sports car everyday? I have a pick of the bunch to tell you about and its called the RS7. Audi gave us at mr.goodlife some time with the new Sportback beast and we absolutely love it. Heres why.

The 4.0 litre V8 is a masterpiece, propelling this car from 0-62MPH in a mere 3.9 seconds but bear in mind guys, we are talking about a car that is spacious enough for 4 passengers to sit comfortably. Thats you driving, your best friend and both of your girlfriends holding on for dear life as the light turns green and the RS7 growls with excitement utilising its boastful 560 horsepower. Its impressive to say the least. 516 lb-ft of torque at 1750 rpm will have your passengers wanting more, especially when they hear that almost musical exhaust note. Quattro have this car in AWD glory and this is a huge strength when coupled with the RS Adaptive Air Suspension system it’s a win for the cornering and handling. You’ll be surprised how fast you can put this car into a corner and accelerate out but most fun are the 0-60 launches off the line at the traffic lights.

The interior is tasteful with Valcona leather comfort seats (honeycomb stitching) and gadgets galore. You have glorious options such as the Bang & Olufsen audio system and the Alcantara headlining. A spacious cockpit awaits with a refined environment. Clearly everything has been thought about here including HUD, spacious centre console and safety features.

We took the car out to the beautiful Scottish highlands to put it through its paces and we would say that Audi has made something remarkable which is both beauty and the beast. With the new COD (Cylinder On Demand) System, you are able to achieve quite an impressive fuel consumption, (24.8MPG combined). The system basically powers down 4 of the cylinders to maximise economy and being pared with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, Audi is ahead in its sector with these statistics.

The RS7 comes at a price of £83,200 but loaded with a few extras including the all important sports exhaust and carbon styling package, seat ventilation, night vision assistant and so on you can customise this car up to £120,000 quite easily.

Of course there are other contenders in this class such as the Mercedes CLS63 or BMW M6 Gran Coupé. Both are quality cars and great to drive but for its performance, price, beauty
and presence. We urge you to check out the new RS7 @ Audi.
