Porsche introduces a special edition Cayenne series called the Platinum Edition which is based on the Cayenne and Cayenne Diesel models. The “special status of these models is demonstrated by the exterior detail accents in Platinum Silver Metallic, with an exclusive two-tone standard interior in Black Luxor Beige.”
“The Convenience Package includes the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system that features a high-resolution seven-inch touchscreen navigation, BiXenon™ headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Driver Memory Package seats, a moonroof, heated front seats and Auto Dimming Mirrors. The Bose® Surround Sound System includes 14 loudspeakers with a total output power of 585 watts, Sirius XM® radio and a 6-disc changer.”
The 3.6-liter V6 engine delivers 300 hp and accelerates the Porsche from zero to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds. “The Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition has a base MSRP price $63,300. The Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine with 240 hp and reaches 100 km/h mph in 7.2 seconds. The Porsche Cayenne Diesel Platinum Edition has a base MSRP price of $66,900.”
The two new Platinum Edition models are on sale now and will be available in the U.S. starting January 2014.
